Regulatory Framework and Industry Preparation
Koscom’s presentation precedes South Korea’s new tokenized securities framework, which is scheduled to take effect on Feb. 4, 2027. The Financial Services Commission recently proposed amendments to rules governing the issuance and trading of tokenized securities, including stocks, bonds, funds, and fractional investment products. Public consultation on these proposals runs from Oct. 2 through Nov. 11.
Several South Korean financial companies have been developing their own systems ahead of the regulatory changes. Hanwha Investment & Securities completed a tokenized securities platform supporting Avalanche and Hyperledger Besu, while KB Securities partnered with Securitize and the Optimism Foundation to develop tokenized funds for institutional investors. Additionally, Eugene Investment & Securities signed an agreement with BEATOZ to test stablecoin settlement, and Meritz Securities partnered with Ripple for digital asset custody infrastructure.
AI Services and Financial Cloud Support
Beyond tokenized securities, Koscom will introduce financial data analysis services utilizing artificial intelligence. The exhibition will feature K-EFS, a Korean stock prediction score service developed with LG AI Research. The company will also provide consultations on financial cloud support programs for fintech companies and the D-Testbed initiative.
