CoinShares has outlined an integration with Safe Labs and Railnet to offer stablecoin yield strategies through Safe’s Earn widget while keeping users’ investment positions in self-custody, according to a press release dated Oct. 14.

Under the arrangement, CoinShares designs the stablecoin strategies and oversees their risk selection via its provider entity, CoinShares Capital Markets (Jersey) Limited, without holding users’ assets. Railnet supplies the vault infrastructure connecting the strategies with the Safe wallet interface, utilizing technology originally developed by Kiln. Safe Labs provides the self-custody account interface.

Structure and User Custody

Safe users access the strategies through the Earn widget and retain control over deposits and withdrawal requests. According to the announcement, user positions remain in their own Safe accounts throughout the process, while CoinShares neither takes custody nor gains discretionary control over the funds.

The offering targets corporate treasuries, foundations, family offices, blockchain-based organizations, and individual crypto investors. CoinShares noted that the integration addresses growing institutional demand for investment oversight alongside asset control, citing DefiLlama data showing stablecoin balances above $315 billion as of June 23.

Jurisdictional Limits and Yields

The release lists jurisdiction and eligibility limits, explicitly excluding US persons from accessing the strategies. CoinShares and its partners emphasized that availability depends on jurisdiction, yields are not guaranteed, and digital assets carry a risk of losing value.

Railnet CEO and co-founder Laszlo Szabo stated that demand includes risk-managed strategies and real-world asset income. Safe CEO Rahul Rumalla added that the integration combines asset management, vault technology, and account infrastructure without requiring users to surrender custody.
