Bitget Begins Automatic Futures Copy Trading Upgrade

Starting November 1, cryptocurrency exchange Bitget will automatically upgrade users of legacy classic futures copy trading, including both elite traders and copiers, according to Bitget_Announcements. The migration to the new futures elite portfolio will occur silently in the background.

Upgrade Rollout and Process

The platform stated that the system initiates the upgrade automatically when an account has no open positions or orders and has not executed any position changes that day. Accounts with active positions will be skipped and processed during subsequent checks as the rollout proceeds in batches.

Fund Handling

According to Bitget_Announcements, classic sub-account copiers will see their full balance automatically transferred to the new futures elite portfolio copy trading account. However, diverse follow copy trading accounts using classic main or sub-accounts will not have funds transferred automatically.
